brighten up your summer? Look no further, Sonlight Stables Summer Camps offer
you a Christian based horse camp that can impact your life forever.
Sonlight Stables
is dedicated to providing quality horsemanship programs for people
ages 7 and up.
At Camp we use
the horse and farm experience as a tool in developing physical,
emotional and
spiritual growth. These camps are committed to teaching and training through:

Show Camp

June 10-13 - Hamel Show
*Riders must have
taken riding lessons prior to attending this camp.*
This Camp is designed for those that
have had lessons on a consistent basis or own their own horse and
are an intermediate rider. The first day is spent learning about
showmanship, Western and English pleasure, horsemanship and
equitation. The second day is spent on gaming, such as barrel
racing, pole weaving, etc. The third day we hold a practice show and
prep for the show. The last day we trailer up our horses and head to
a local competitive show to put to practice what we learned. Call

The cost is $250.00 per
person with the use of Sonlight Stables horse or $175.00 with your
own horse. Please send in
$50.00 deposit to guarantee you a spot. You are responsible to pay
for the classes at the show. Classes are $3.00 a piece. Your child
can enter in as many classes as they wish or what has been
recommended by the instructor. Be prepared to also buy certain dress
and boots if you don’t already have the clothing that is required
for shows.

longer Monday through Saturday. 2009 camps will begin on Wednesdays and end on
Saturdays. Price will reflect the change. See below.

Sonlight Stables offers a
safe and fun horse experience that will be unforgettable. A
unique bond is developed by spending time with horses that can
increase the whole sense of well being in a person. Trust,
confidence, and responsibility are learned in the process of working
with horses at Sonlight Stables.
Each camper will be assigned a horse to which they will be
responsible for handling, grooming and caring for that week. Campers
will receive daily riding lessons and ground lessons.
They will learn about caring for horses, breeds, colors, parts of
the horse and markings. Campers will have the opportunity to ride
Western and English, play games on horseback, go trail riding, perform in a
show, and much more. All lessons are taught with a balance of fun and education
by trained instructors.
Other activities at camp will
include Challenge courses, slip and slide and crafts.

Campers
are welcome back on Saturday at 9:00am-12:00pm to
join a horse show to show off your riding skills.

Price for five camp days and the
Saturday horse show is $225.00. This includes three days of instruction, meal for the campout (Friday), use of horses and
equipment, arts, craft supplies and Saturday horse show.
A $100.00 nonrefundable deposit is required to
reserve a spot.

Family Camp

August 8-9
Get away
from the everyday routine and spend some priceless, quality time with the
family.
This family camp weekend includes
a schedule packed full of horse related activities, family challenges as well as
time to relax and enjoy each other in the outdoor surroundings.
Saturday starts at 9:00am with
getting to know everyone while enjoying rolls, juice and coffee. We will then be
doing some horseback riding activities. Please bring a picnic lunch to enjoy
with your family. After lunch we will play some family games and pack up for a
memorable trail ride. That evening we will take a wagon ride to where we will
set up camp (please bring your family sized tents), and have a camp style meal
provided. Later we will gather around the campfire for some stories and song.
Sunday morning you will wake to
breakfast and coffee brewing. We will take some time to reflect and have a
message geared toward building strong family relations. To conclude we will pack
up camp and head back to the barn for an optional trail ride. Come
join with other families to strengthen your family ties and deepen your faith.

Mother & Daughter Camp

September 4-6
Spend a
weekend away for some quality bonding time, R&R, and horse related fun.
This Mother/Daughter retreat
begins on Friday with a guest speaker who will focus on how to build a stronger
relationship between Mother and Daughter. We will then break for homemade
personalized pizzas. To end the evening we will have a grooming and pampering
time.
Saturday at 9:00am we meet
back at the barn for some horsy games, teamwork obstacle courses on horseback
and break for lunch (bring a bag lunch). After lunch we will head out on the
trails. That evening we will camp out and enjoy a dinner, singing and stories
around the campfire. Don't forget to bring your sleeping bag and pillow!

The following morning you will
wake up to the smell of freshly made blueberry pancakes. We will do some more
riding and conclude the weekend with a Tea Party with finger sandwiches, and
cookies.
This weekend is sure to
refresh your soul and your Mother-Daughter relationship.
